Background:
Kato, born in the state of 'Taveuni in the Iruiru region to a wealthy commander, graduated from the Iruiru War College with top scores and an excelled interest in defending his planet from inner turmoil. Seeing this, the Elders of the college priveleged him and three others of his class into training for the Sangheili Ascetic Corps. In the end, Kato was the only one left, and thus was allowed to join the ranks of the Ascetic warriors, donning the harness when necessary. Out of the Corps, he had gained the rank of Ultra on the field and led troops aboard the carrier Joyful Exhalation. He served and fought against the Brutes in the Battle of Earth, but never appreciated the human's alliance with the Elites, believing that the small, ape-like creatures were only holding the fleet back, save for their "Demon", which he also had no respect for. Because of his distaste for the alien species, he has never met a human and hopes he never will. As soon as the Joyful Exhalation made it's return to Sangheilos, though, he imediately requested to return to his home-state, wishing to feel the weight of his mother planet under his feet once more.

Kaidon:
Of course, when he returned, he quickly learned that the long-time Kaidon of the state had died of natural causes, and now the Elders were looking for a new sangheili to take the role. Having returned to his planet and hoping to stay there, Kato imediately volunteered for the role, and surprisingly, in only a few short days, he was elected by the Elders to become the leader of the state.
(In regards to the "Divide" RP) Unfortunately, only two days into his rule, Sangheilos was attacked by the vengeful Brute forces, and once they lost communication with the Navy fleet, 'Taveuni stepped down from Kaidon to ground warrior, weeding out any Brute forces that dare take a single step on his planet.
